The Alumina product range
There are three different types of door in the Alumina range.
Take a look at our aperture dimension table and decide which door is right for your project.
The true aluminium make-up of Alumina is perfect when fabricated as a stand-alone residential door, complimenting the style of the Liniar PVCu flush sash system.
Ideal for commercial or heavy duty applications, Alumina offers added strength and security.
As with all Alumina products, residential doors can be supplied with almost any powder coated RAL finish, or foiled with one of Liniar’s realistic factory fitted woodgrain foils.
Residential doors are available with 28mm double or 36/40mm triple glazing, offering U-values as low as 1.2W/m²K.
Alumina French doors offer an alternative to PVCu for wider apertures with panes able to span up to 1.2m wide. The thermal polyamide lock, thermal insert and triple glazing option enable Alumina doors to reach U-values as low as 1.2m²K whilst meeting PAS24 and Secured by Design requirements making all Alumina doors Part Q compliant.
All Alumina doors are offered with a number of threshold options including a low threshold, which can be made to Part M access regulations and is fully weather tested. With fully sculptured beads, Alumina French doors can be foiled to match Liniar’s PVCu flush sash window system – or order with any RAL powder coated finish.
The jewel in the crown of the Alumina range, fully aluminium bi-folding doors provide the means to open up an entire wall of a building and give a cutting edge appearance to commercial developments. With the ability to span up to 7 panes wide, with a total width of 6.5m, Alumina bi-folds have a span of 1.2m, with a bespoke bottom-rolling 8-wheeled system, Alumina doors offer a heavy duty solution for a variety of applications.
Alumina bi-fold can be supplied with any powder coated RAL finish, or foiled with one of Liniar’s realistic, factory fitted woodgrain foiled to match the PVCu window suite.
Strength with size
Commercial and heavy-duty applications require greater strength, with wider and taller panes of glass and bigger spans. Alumina by Liniar is a true aluminium door, manufactured with standard aluminium machinery, with panes spanning up to 1.2 metres wide and 2.5 metres high.
As well as being available in practically any powder-coated colour imaginable, what makes Alumina unique is that it’s also available in a beautiful woodgrain or flat foiled finish, enabling consumers to choose a style that perfectly matches the windows of their property for a perfect finish.
The Liniar range is renowned for its energy efficiency – Alumina is no different. Pushing the boundaries of thermal performance, it offers ‘true’ U-values as low as 1.2W/m²k thanks to its innovative thermal lock and large thermal breaks.
Safe and secure
With Alumina you can be sure of the highest security. Its suite of hardware includes multiple bi-directional locking points, shootbolts, built-in anti-lift features and anti-bump cylinders, ensuring it achieved PAS 24 enhanced security accreditation at the first attempt, and holds Secured by Design status.
Designed from scratch
The team recognised the need for a pure aluminium bi-fold that fully matched with Liniar uPVC windows – so they designed one!
With 28mm double glazed and 36mm or 40mm triple glazed units available, Alumina offers ‘true’ U-values as low as 1.0W/m²K, thanks to its innovative thermal lock.
Liniar’s optional aluminium low threshold is just 23.5mm high at its highest point, requiring no trench excavation to install. Add a low threshold tray to make it Part M compliant.
Foiled ‘warm touch’ exterior
Your Alumina bi-fold can be foiled with any woodgrain or coloured finish – for a beautiful colour match to uPVC windows and doors.
Alumina ensures the highest security with multiple bi-directional locking points, shootbolts that secure firmly into the track, built-in anti-lift features and anti-bump cylinders.
Attention to detail
With innovative features including folding keys, ergonomic handles, hidden fixings for hinges and discreet magnets, the attention to detail is what makes an Alumina bi-folding door ‘best in class’.
